World Tourism Day 2025: Grand Celebration in Kalash Valley

For the first time, the Kalash Valleys Development Authority (KVDA) celebrated World Tourism Day (2025) with great enthusiasm in the beautiful and captivating Bumburet Valley of Kalash. The event saw strong participation from domestic and international tourists, the local community, and students.

Distinguished guests who specially attended the ceremony included:

Event Activities Included:

  • Plantation Drive to promote eco-friendly tourism and preserve the natural beauty of the valley.
  • Cultural Parade and Student Performances to highlight the Kalash culture and the enthusiasm of the younger generation.
  • Exhibition of Kalash Handicrafts and Local Cuisine to introduce the world to the valley’s unique skills and flavors.
  • Seminar and Discussion with tourism sector stakeholders to exchange views on policy, challenges, and future opportunities.
  • Cultural Night featuring a memorable evening of traditional Kalash music and dance.

This successful and dignified event not only proved to be a pleasant experience for tourists but also provided the local community with an opportunity to present their culture and heritage to the world.
